An outing with two fellow friends fuel up the argument on the political issues at hand for our beloved country. Both share quite a different agenda for the Government and the Opposition. Where do I stand?
Actually no where at the moment. It's not really my call after all. However while watching them debate it raise some funny details about the government and the opposition. The latest news of all would be the proposed cancellation of the live broadcast of the proceedings in the Dewan Rakyat voiced out by the Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek. It's crap. I mean he just talks crap. This live telecast is one of the way that we as the public could ever figure out what goes on inside the Parliament or at least understand how things are at work. Though the first meeting is a disaster but we as the public could understand that the MPs are human as well. A little name-calling and a little small argument just show to the public that they are indeed human just like us (public).
This could also ensure that the transparency of the Government is shown. Saying that it will affect the image of the Parliament is just more crap. If all the things happpening in the Parliament are just like what the public saw on last Wednesday for the past few years, why not let the public have a look and be the judge of it. With the constant pressure from the public, the Parliament could indeed turn out to be a place for the MPto seriously and truly voice out the questions that the public had in their mind. If the live telecast is cancelled, I guess that the transparency of the government will be in question again plus it might as well raise a lots of specculation from the public as well.
Thankfully, the live telecast is on for the following meeting. This is just one of the improvement that the government got to do in order to reach out to the needs of the public rather than themselves.
There are other issues being printed on newspaper at the moment that is making the whole Malaysia's image into a muddy one. The case of Altantuya link to the DPM (Najib), Tun Mahathir's steps into cyberworld, and other political issues that are clouding the whole Malaysian after the 2008 General Election.
This scenario will continue on till the next General Election after all. This is what happen to our beloved peaceful country after the BN rule the government for 50 years hit a setback of losing 5 states in the General Election 2008. What a shame.
So I do make no stand here. Meaning I'm still clueless which side is doing the better job than the other. However time will tell.
